きれいに韻が踏まれているシリーズの最後は、天才トッド・ラングレンの「I Saw The Light」 。

すべての楽器を自分自身で演奏し、コーラスも含めて1人でレコーディングされていますが、この曲も終始丁寧に韻が踏まれています。

「 fling ‐ thing – ring 」「 run ‐ none – one 」「 you ‐ knew 」
「 best ‐ jest – rest 」「 before ‐ anymore 」

相手の瞳のなかにばかり光を見ていた主人公ですが、最後が「in my eyes」となっているところに主人公の成長が感じられます。

動詞「run」の意味に注意です。この曲のなかではすべて「逃げる」という意味で使われています。

「run」は他に（経営する）という意味で使われたりする場合もありますので、文脈から適切に判断する必要があります。

こちらはバナナ振り振りのボサノヴァアレンジ版。

有り余る才能を持て余して、ライブでは悪ふざけに走りがちなトッド先生ですが、 こちらが悪ふざけ版です。

ギターの弦を切って、ギターを交換して、どこまで歌ったかをお客さんに確認して、続きから歌い始めるところまでが１つの芸です。
