（トーストは片面焼きがいい）

（話してるときのアクセントでわかるだろう）

（私はニューヨークの英国人なんだ）

PVにも出てくるクエンティン・クリスプさんという英国の作家がアメリカに移住した際に体験したことが全体のモチーフになっているそうです。

Takes more than combat gear to make a man

（一人前の人間になるためには戦闘装備では不充分）

Takes more than a license for a gun

（銃の許可証より前に必要なものがある）

A gentleman will walk but never run

（紳士たるもの歩くことはあっても走ることはない）

暴力ではなく、知性を駆使して問題を解決するということについて、イギリス人らしい遠回しな表現で歌われています。

アメリカ人に対する皮肉に溢れた曲ですが、ニューヨーカーはなぜか大喜び。。。
