クリスマスが近づいてきました。例年、ちょうど冬期講習の開始時期と重なっていることもあり、いつも気づいたら嵐のように過ぎ去ってしまいます。
忙しい時期ではありますが、クリス・レアの「ドライビング・ホーム・フォー・クリスマス」を聞いて一休みです。
歌詞の内容はタイトルそのままで、クリスマス休暇に車で帰省する時のはやる気持ちが歌われています。
都会で働く青年が実家に帰っているのか、あるいは単身赴任のお父さんが子どもたちが待っている我が家に帰っているのかもしれません。
渋滞に巻き込まれてちょっとだけイライラしつつも、歌を歌ったり、家族の顔を思い出したり、となりのドライバーを見てみたりして、なんとかこの状況を楽しもうとしています。
